Crystal Red Shrimp (S-SS) Grade are one the most popular and most available caridina shrimp. They do best in a species only tanks where they can graze on biofilm and algae with no threat of predators.

They do require strict water parameters.

CRS, scientifically known as Caridina cf. cantonensis, are a highly sought-after species in the aquarium hobby due to their striking appearance and unique color patterns. They are a color morph of the wild black and white bee shrimp, selectively bred to enhance their vibrant red and white coloration. This species is characterized by its bright red body adorned with white stripes, resembling a candy cane, which makes them a visual highlight in any aquarium setting.

    Pests & Algae

I do have snails in my tank.I do my best to pick off what I see. Duckweed have invaded a few tanks but most plants will be free of duckweed. Older leaves may have a bit of algae but I typically clean up all plants before shipping.
